At the moment, your help desk may
be using a separate system to issue ATM commands. Vantage
Command Manager integrates this capability into the Gasper
Vantage ATM management system, simplifying the process of
issuing commands to the ATMs in your network.
Once it has assessed the situation, Vantage Command Manager
intelligently issues commands based on proven best in class
business rules. These commands can be host-based or direct
to the ATM through SNMP. Sending commands directly through
SNMP enables advanced remote resolution capabilities, such
as remote reset of an ATM or specific device on the ATM. The
ability to undertake these tasks remotely gives an even higher
chance of a fix.
Command Manager gives you the ability to facilitate problem
resolution and, in some cases, completely solve problems remotely.
If a service provider has fixed a problem at an ATM, for example,
but it’s still reporting a fault, it could be that the problem
has been fixed but the ATM’s “state of health” hasn’t been
reset to “healthy”. Going direct to the ATM, the “state of
health” can be reset remotely, putting the ATM back into service
without calling anyone else out to the ATM.
Solving ATM problems remotely means
less downtime and fewer service calls – as more problems can
be fixed remotely, without sending anyone to the ATM.
